Unleash Your Inner Drive with The Chrissy Collective

The Story of Chrissy's Place of Refuge

Chrissy’s Place of Refuge was founded by Cassetta “Chrissy” Scott, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and community advocate, in response to the growing emotional, social, and practical needs she witnessed among families and children in underserved communities. With over two decades of experience in mental health and human services, Chrissy recognized that healing often requires more than therapy alone—it requires safe spaces, tangible support, and compassionate connection. What began as grassroots outreach—providing school supplies, holiday gifts, and essential resources to local families and Title-1 schools—evolved into a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope and stability. Rooted in dignity, empowerment, and collective care, Chrissy’s Place of Refuge now serves as a bridge between community need and community response, offering programs and partnerships that nurture resilience, strengthen families, and affirm that no one should have to struggle alone.

From Vision to Healing Outloud

Healing Outloud Mental Health Services was founded by therapist and community advocate Cassetta “Chrissy” Scott as an emerging extension of her long-standing commitment to emotional wellness and community healing. After more than two decades of experience supporting individuals and families in traditional mental health settings, Chrissy recognized a consistent need for spaces where people could speak honestly about pain, identity, and lived experiences without stigma or silence. Healing Outloud is being established to meet that need. Rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and authentic connection, the practice will integrate evidence-based therapy with reflection, storytelling, and whole-person care. As this new practice grows, Healing Outloud will expand to offer individual counseling, group support, and community-centered healing initiatives—affirming that healing begins when it is acknowledged, supported, and lived out loud.

Healing-Centered Creative Resources

Healing-Centered Creative Resources

The Chrissy Collective serves as the creative and resource umbrella founded by Cassetta “Chrissy” Scott to extend healing beyond traditional therapy and nonprofit outreach. Emerging from the combined vision of Chrissy’s Place of Refuge and Healing Outloud Mental Health Services, the Collective was created to house books, guided tools, reflective resources, and intentional products designed to support emotional wellness, identity exploration, and personal growth. As Chrissy’s work expanded across clinical care, community service, and creative healing, a unified space became necessary to share accessible materials that individuals could engage with privately and at their own pace. The Chrissy Collective represents that space. Rooted in storytelling, cultural awareness, and transformation, it brings together creativity and care under one mission: to help individuals reconnect with themselves, honor their experiences, and move toward healing in ways that feel personal, empowering, and sustainable.
